Trump can talk to Putin next week

US President Donald Trump is going to talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin next week. The American president reported this during a meeting with Japan's Prime Minister Siger Isiboy in the White House.

"Next week, I will probably meet with the President of Zelensky and probably talk to President Putin," Trump said.

He added that he wants the war in Ukraine to end, because "a lot of people die on the battlefield." Trump also repeated once again that this "ridiculous war" did not start, be he president of the United States at that time.

Trump also again raised the issue of cooperation with Kiev in the field of supply of Ukrainian rare -earth metals and other minerals that Washington can consider as compensation for the military assistance provided by him.
