In Yakutia, a law is finally canceled, allowing to kill stray dogs that are not in demand within a month

The law, adopted in June last year by the deputies of Yakutsk, the vast majority of parliament deputies Il Tumen, who allowed to kill dogs in shelters if they were not taken from it on the 31st day, was canceled. This was reported by Torbo -Forman Radio.

This time the decision was made by the 5th Court of Appeal of Novosibirsk. So, the decision of the Supreme Court of Yakutia, which had previously abolished this norm, entered into force.

The way that Yakut deputies wanted to compete with the problem of homeless dogs, eco -activists called populist and harmful.

During the discussion of the law, the deputies mentioned the “unwritten laws of the village”, according to which allegedly men-jackets kill a dog who bitten the child. Or, for example, the inappropriateness of the existence of the shelters themselves, which the state, in principle, should not contain ... The zoo defenders disputed the law in the fall, and achieved its abolition. The Supreme Court of Yakutia canceled a item about the euthanas of dogs in September.

But, in addition to Yakutia, similar laws adopt the authorities of other regions: Udmurtia, Altai, Transbaikalia, Magadan, Buryatia, Tyvs, Khanty -Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
