What do the Ukrainian military think about Trump’s actions and possible peace negotiations? We recorded their monologues

Even before his election, Donald Trump promised to put an end to the war in Ukraine, and his last statements only strengthened the discussions about possible peace negotiations between Kiev and Moscow. However, political scientists and experts warn: a scenario that begins to loom, may not take into account Ukrainian interests.

The New Gazeta Europe asked Ukrainian troops how they see the development of the situation and whether they agree with the forecasts of analysts. Their monologues are in our material.

It must be admitted that the backbone of our military, who have been at the front for several years, is very tired of the battles. I and my fellow soldiers slip the feeling that Ukraine is losing a war. Many people think that a bad truce is better than a good war. Now the army is being recruited from under the stick-cowardly and poorly motivated people. They are not ready for serious battles. And experienced and seasoned fighters are immensely depleted by a meat grinder that lasting years. Each of us has already buried many comrades. Only in the Kursk region I lost three great guys. And from the fact that some Chechens or Koreans died on the other side, it does not become easier. So the boys and I are waiting for a truce. It is clear that nothing good in this war shines us. Russia has huge resources - both human and economic. And Western allies cannot compete with them in the sense of help.

Without American assistance, we will have to very stress. Although in my battalion everyone is armed with Soviet or Czech weapons and dressed in Spanish uniform, it is clear that it will be very difficult to stay on European supplies alone. It will be difficult to fight without the same Hammers. The United States supplies shells without which it is simply impossible to fight.

So we are forced to listen to the words of Trump. At the same time, we initially did not expect anything good from this US president. He is a huckster - money is primarily important to him.

Trump does not care about everything except America. It applies to Ukraine as the subject of the transaction. Zelensky tried to please him, dance. But nothing good came of it. He only aggravated the situation with his ingratiating behavior.

Losing the territories for which so much blood is shed is very painful. But it should be noted that the population of Donetsk and Lugansk regions is mostly pro -Russian “Zhduna”. In Soviet times, many people from Russia were relocated there. In some villages of Ukrainians, at best there are ten percent. Almost no one spoke in Ukrainian. There are all grandmothers and grandfathers - the Communists who sleep and see how Moscow joins them. When they announced the evacuation, they refused to leave and even hid children. We are not on the way with them.

The Russians killed many of my comrades. They crippled my own brother - they amputated his leg, which was almost torn off a mine. The Russians ravaged and raped my country. And now they want to divide Ukraine, tear it into pieces. I hate them and I will never accept any truce on their conditions. The end of the war can only be when the Russians return all the captured territories, free all prisoners and forcibly exported civilians, restore everything that they destroyed and will pay reparations for many years. At the same time, Putin himself must either sit in prison for life or die. Any other transactions are the betrayal of Ukraine and all our comrades who died in this war. The betrayal of tens of thousands of peaceful citizens killed by Putin.

Trump is a narcissistic villain, ready for anything for his glory. He has no idea what is happening here. He calls some crazy figures of losses and wants Ukraine to transfer to the United States minerals for $ 500 billion. At the same time, Trump also indicates the possibility that Ukraine will become part of Russia, which is pure delirium. The hatred that Ukrainians experience for the Russians are enough for several generations. All this directly contradicts the fact that the United States authorities promised us. Can the decision of one idiot can cross out all the data earlier?

It is clear that Putin will not stop until he captures all of Ukraine. Now they will agree on a ceasefire, and after a few years Trump will leave, and the Russians will attack again. Only already well prepared.

Putin does not make sense to dissolve the army. Otherwise, his former soldiers will overthrow. So he needs a war. And we need Ukraine - this is its fetish.

Ukraine can resist without the help of the United States. Yes, it will be very difficult. But we will stand. Remember how, at the very beginning of the full-scale invasion of 2022, when the Russians attacked at once from many sides and completely seized the initiative in the air, we were able to fight back, did not allow us to capture large cities, and then drove the enemies from under Kyiv! But we did not have Western weapons except Javelin. Now, Europe will help us, which is also afraid of Putin. The European Union countries are harnessed for a long time, but in the end they begin to move and provide assistance. I think that if Trump threatens to interrupt supplies, Europeans will give us more weapons.
