In turn, Zelensky also announced the need to hold additional meetings with representatives of the United States in order to "prepare a plan for how to stop Putin and end the war." In addition, he confirmed that in the coming days the special support of Donald Trump Kit Kellog will visit Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian media, the negotiations between Zelensky and Wans were planned in the morning. But, as the European Pravda later reported , at the last moment the meeting was postponed. The sources of RBC Ukraine in the Ukrainian delegation said that the American side asked for time to transfer: the delegation members wanted to carefully study the new version of the partnership of rare -earth metals prepared by Kiev.

Prior to this, separate negotiations were held by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrei Ermak and the special representative of the US President on Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellog. As Yermak said in his telegram channel, the main topic was “coordination of joint efforts to achieve a fair and sustainable world.”

“Putin never plays by the rules. Russians respect only strength and despise those who do not use it. Any agreements without harsh coercion of Russia will not work - control over Ukraine remains for the Kremlin the basis of imperial ambitions, ”he said. And he added that “to help Ukraine now is much cheaper than withstanding a stronger Russia in the future,” said the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Ermak did not report the reaction of Keith Kellog to these theses.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump expressed the idea that Ukraine should pay with Washington for help provided to its natural resources. The emphasis was placed in rare earth metals, such as lithium, graphite, uranium, titanium.
