In the early morning of August 25, 2002, Zhang Zuman, a resident of Yunlin County in the west of Taiwan, went alone to the Chishuytsi Forest Park in Zhanghua County. She planned to go on this trip with friends: they had to go on a hike along the forest paths. But she arrived before everyone else and, while waiting for friends, decided to find a secluded place to go to the toilet.
Having gone deep into the forest, Zyuman felt an unpleasant smell of rot and acetone. Under one of the trees was a small embankment of branches and leaves, under which a black plastic bag was visible. Removing the branches and shook off the foliage, she tore Polyethylene - and saw a charred human leg.

Soon the police from Zhanghua arrived at the place: they took the body for forensic examination and chemical toxicological research, and also examined the place in search of evidence all day. Four days later, the police reported what they became aware of.
The murdered was about 40 years old, and its growth was 165 centimeters. The woman’s body lay in a plastic bag for about 20 days, and the murder itself occurred between August 1 and 5. In her stomach, traces of alcohol and antipsychotics were found in her - on the day of death, she could drink and take pills. The police suggested that the killer could mix neuroleptics to alcohol so that she would lose consciousness.
Traces of strangulation were found on the neck of the deceased. Also, implants were established in her chest, the size of which exceeded the norm: according to Taiwanese law, the limit was 180–220 grams, while its implants weighed 240 grams. The police suggested that they could be installed abroad. On the fingers of the deceased, they also found a ring with a Buddhist swastika (a symbol of happiness, good luck and prosperity).
It was not possible to establish the personality of the woman: the killer burned her face and fingertips on which prints could remain, something like alkali. Due to implants exceeding the legal limit, as well as the Buddhist ring, the police suggested that the deceased is a foreigner, possibly from Malaysia, Vietnam or the Philippines.
The police admitted that the deceased could marry a resident of Taiwan or come to work. However, having studied the data of more than a thousand foreign “brides” and workers in the counties of Thaijun, Nantou and Yunlin, the police from Zhanghua County came to a standstill: not one of the women came under the description of the murdered. Having worked on the case near the crescent, the police could not open it and sent information about him to other police sections of the country.
Familiar detective
The case was learned by Detective Zhang Ventun from Taikhun County. He noticed that, according to the description, the murdered woman looked like a recently missing local resident, 40-year-old Chen Jinli, which was the loss of which on August 4, 2002, her daughter Zyu joking announced.
Moreover, Wantun personally knew Jinley: a few years ago he helped her share property during the divorce. Together with her ex-husband, 40-year-old Zinyan, Zinli owned the metal processing enterprise for many years.
Soon after the opening of the plant, the relations of Jinli and Zinnyan deteriorated. Jinley complained that her husband was almost not engaged in management and abuses alcohol. Soon it also became known that Zinyan was cheating on her. After that, Jinli and Zinjian divorced, but only a couple of years later, as Jinli said, so as not to injure minor children, two sons and a daughter. But the betrayal continued.
The relationship ended with a scandal: the reason was the next betrayal of Zinnyan: in the summer of 1999, Jinli hired a new accountant, a woman named Lai Juesy, and two months later found out that her husband was cheating on her with a new employee.
Jinley fired Huissi, but Qingyan stood up for her: he began to demand that Huissy were called the “Boss wife”, and threatened that he would divorce with Jinley, marry Juesy and take Jinley half the plant. Their son of Taeichzhen tried to agree with his father, but he broke his son and later recalled this as a threat.

Then Jinley turned to a friend of Detective Zhang Wantun and asked him to try to agree with Zinnyan on the terms of the divorce instead. Thanks to Wantun, they managed to agree that Zinyan would take only a small part of a joint venture, and will also pay alimony.
However, despite the agreements, in December 2001, Zinyan along with Huissy, which he managed to marry, made his way to the factory and stole all the equipment from there to use it in their new business. In addition, he tried to lure old employees and customers.
Jinley first came to the house of Huesy and Zinnyan to discuss what was happening, but she was beaten and drove away. Then she tried to contact the police, but even there they replied that there was a civil dispute between the former spouses, and did not interfere. Soon after, Zinyan also stopped paying child support.
Mom is gone
On August 2, 2002, Jinli was last seen alive. According to eyewitnesses, when she played the cards of the neighbor, Zinjian came there, whispered something in her ear and went out. Jinley finished the party and left after him an hour later.
When her daughter Zyo joking returned from school, Jinli was not at home. The joke called the police only two days later - by that time her mother never returned home. She contacted Ventun’s detective directly and expressed her fears that her father had killed her mother. He, too, thought that this was likely, but could not deal with the consent of the authorities and took the girl to the station so that she would submit an application for the loss of her mother.
At first, the police admitted that Jinli could be the very woman whose body was found in the forest park. However, the version of the involvement of the ex -husband was ignored. Officers invited Zinnyan to identify the body of the deceased, but he said that he did not know the victim. They did not check his words and invite him to identify other Jinli close to the police. After interviewing the witnesses, they found out that Jinli did not go abroad, so she could not establish foreign implants. As a result, the investigation came to the conclusion that a woman is probably a foreigner.
Ventun, confident that Zinyan killed Jinley, tried to investigate the loss on his own. He asked a friend to get an informant at the Zinnyan enterprise, but he could not do it and quit. As a result, Zinyan began to be wary of new employees, and Wantun had to refuse the investigation without receiving support from the leadership.
Drunk confessions
Interest in the case again arose in 2006 - on television, a show was launched, dedicated to the undisclosed case of the murder of a woman in the Chishuytsi Forest Park. In the summer of that year, lawyer Zhang Tinzhen went there on a campaign and along the way he supposedly had a bad foreboding. Soon he found out that in that place they found the body of a woman whose murder has not yet been disclosed-and turned to television people with the idea of a TV show.
The program became superpopular - largely because Tinzhen promised to reveal the name of a real killer at the end. He did not name the name, but the detective Wantun also watched the show and caught fire to prove the idea that Zinyan killed Jinley.
As the media wrote , this time Ventun was helped by superstition. In one of the issues of the show, Tinzhen “talked” with the spirit of the deceased, receiving “answers” with the help of a fortune -tier bones. Many “answers” of the murdered coincided with the details of the life of Jinli. This convinced Ventun’s authorities to again send informators to Zinnyan under the guise of new employees to the Zinnyan plant. However, this did not lead to anything.
The case moved out of the dead point thanks to the family conflict. Due to the fault of Zinnyan, his new enterprise was fined for 700 thousand Taiwanese dollars. The business barely coped, and because of a giant fine could even close. This angry Huissy - the new wife of Zinnyan, with whom they had a business. However, this was not enough for the police: according to Taiwanese legislation, recognition can be used as evidence only if a person does it in a sober mind and voluntarily. Then in April 2009, the joke went for deception: she told Zinyana that she, brothers and the whole family, know that he killed Jinli, and tried to persuade him to surrender to the police.
Qingyan admitted to a sober head that he killed Jinli, but asked the joke to give him a “delay”: supposedly he needed to finish all the business of business. She agreed, but on May 8, 2009 she changed her mind.
Huisy found out that Zinyan admitted, and decided to intimidate the joke, sending her two adult sons from another marriage to her home. They threatened the joke and said that Jinli was dead, that her father did and that Huissi also participated in the crime. Qinjan and Juesy also came to the house.
Frightened, the joke called the detective Ventun, and he arrived with a detachment of police officers.
The police detained Zinnyan, Huesy and her two sons, as well as two workers from the Enterprise Jinli-23-year-old Zhang Yucheng and 22-year-old Xuy Yuika: Qingyan mentioned them in his recognition as accomplices.
Murder
First, the police interrogated two workers. They admitted that they agreed to help Zinnyan and Huisi kill Jinli and that her body was really thrown out in the Chishuytsi Forest Park - they were not yet adults at that time.
Due to the confession of the workers, Zinyan was forced to admit himself. During the interrogation, he said that the idea of killing Jinli appeared with him and Huesy in 2002 after long conflicts with his ex -wife, and the murder plan belonged to Huissy.
At first, Huissy denied involvement in the murder, but when she found out that everyone admitted, she confirmed the testimony of workers and zinnyan. At the same time, she denied that she belonged to the idea of the murder. She said that on August 2, 2002 she leased a small van. Finding Yuichen and Yuykoy, she asked them to help in the murder of Jinley, but at first she deceived them, saying that Jinli specially underestimates their salary and does not give an increase to work more diligently.
At the same time, Zinyan found Jinli at home at the neighbor and asked her to meet him on the Izzyan bridge in Taipin to discuss relations. When they met, Zinyan invited her to drink and mixed it in a drink by a neuroleptic. After that, the four of them loaded her into the van, on which Huissy drove up, and drove to the chechiytsi forest park.

Once on the spot, Qingyan and Huissy ordered the workers to strangle Jinli, but those did not work out. Soon she began to come into consciousness, then Qingyan became furious and led her out of the car, where the three of them beat her with sticks. Then Jinli was doused with gasoline and set on fire.
Subsequently, the workers said that Jinli had heard screams for a few more minutes. When she calmed down, Zinyan took the alkalis from the car and doused the body so that she could not be identified by his face and fingerprints. The body was hidden into a plastic bag and carried deep into the forest, covering with branches and leaves.
Court
On May 14, 2009, a repeated forensic examination of Jinli was held , during which the doctors discovered wounds that coincided with the description with those that the suspects described in their confessions. The combustion products in the respiratory tract also indicated that it was burned alive, and the traces of sprayed substance remaining on the face really turned out to be alkali. A repeated analysis of the substance found in her stomach also showed that it was a neuroleptic who, in his testimony, was mentioned by Zinjian.
Doctors also took a DNA test from all Jinli children-the results showed a complete similarity.
In November 2010, the court sentenced Zinnyan to a life imprisonment, Huissy - by the age of 18, and Yucheen and Yuikai received eight and seven years.
The case became a real sensation in Taiwan and caused a public outcry. The public criticized the police department in Zhanghua and who conducted the first opening of a local pathologist. A police department in Taitszhun was also seriously criticized, which for a long time ignored the version of the detective Weitun. Many said that if not for him, then Jinli’s body would not have recognized, but they had not been disclosed.
