This was stated by the UN specialist for human rights in Russia Mariana Katsarova. In her opinion, these political prisoners “need immediate release” due to a state of health, age and disability. Among them are historian and human rights activist Yuri Dmitriev, mother of Chechen activists Zarem Musaev, former municipal deputy Alexei Gorinov, Kaliningrad activist Igor Baryshnikov and human rights activist Bakhrom Khamroev. The Murmansk Regional Court sentenced the MSTU student Artem Konstantinov , who told about the threats of the security forces due to communication with a friend from Ukraine, to 13 years in a maximum regime colony on charges of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code), Interfax reports.

The Rostov Regional Court sentenced Alexander Babkin , who was accused of Gosizman, to 12 years of strict regime.
