Secretary of State Marco Rubio: If the United States “appears” the results of a meeting with Ukrainians in Saudi Arabia, military assistance will resume

The meeting of representatives of the United States and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia “will have key importance” for the resumption of American military assistance to Kyiv. This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CNN reports.

“I think if a good meeting that we like, and what we can report to the president will be held there, I think, decisions regarding the pause [in military assistance] will be made,” Rubio said.

The Secretary of State also noted that the United States is still counting on the conclusion of a transaction on natural resources, but it is not a fact that it will be agreed in Saudi Arabia, since its details have not been fully worked out.

• The delegations of the United States and Ukraine will meet in Gidd on March 11. According to Financial Times, representatives of Kyiv at the meeting will offer a partial ceasefire plan.
• US President Donald Trump ordered to suspend military assistance to Kyiv shortly after a meeting in the White House with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, which ended with a quarrel. Trump said that Zelensky wants not peace, but war.
• As part of the suspension of US assistance, they also ceased to exchange intelligence information with Ukraine.
