A temple complex is being built in the Moscow region for First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denis Manturov

Not far from the village in the Moscow region, owned by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and curator of the defense industry Denis Manturov, a complex of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary with an underground necropolis and a helipad is being built, according to Sistema’s investigation.

The church complex itself is located near the Klyazma Reservoir and houses a temple for 400 parishioners, a spiritual and educational center, a playground and parking for 90 cars. There is a helipad next to the complex, and a separate necropolis with tombs has been created under the main temple.

Next to the complex there is also the elite village of Pirogovo, which actually belongs to the Manturov family. Legally, it is owned by the Guta group, which is close to the Deputy Prime Minister. In total, according to Sistema, Manturov owns real estate in the village worth approximately ten billion rubles - he bought the first plot in 2008, when he became Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

The publication considers Manturov himself to be the initiator of the construction. One of the contractors told Sistema that Manturov had previously collaborated with the architect Andrei Anisimov, but he opposed the war, left Russia in 2022 and stopped working on the project. The total cost of construction of the complex has already exceeded three billion rubles at the end of 2023 and now has probably become many times more.

In addition, during the construction of the temple in 2017, the authorities began to massively clear the forest park near Pirogovo. There was the “Victory Forest” - trees that local residents planted in memory of World War II veterans. As a result of logging, these plantings were destroyed, and residents found out that the logging was sanctioned by the Moscow region authorities.

In addition to Manturov, the head of Rostec Sergei Chemezov, billionaire Dmitry Mazepin, head of Vladimir Putin’s administration Anton Vaino, Roman Abramovich and Putin’s former assistant Igor Shuvalov live in Pirogovo.
