The former municipal deputy Ketevan Kharaidze softened the preventive measure, prescribing a ban on certain actions instead of house arrest. It is reported by Sotavision.
The prosecutor asked the court to extend the term of house arrest Haraidze. The defense asked to let her in the ban on certain actions, arguing that the consideration of the case was drawn out of the fault of the former mundica.
Haraidze is forbidden to leave the house from 21:00 to 8:00 without written court permission, communicate with other participants in the process and use the Internet.
In December 2022, Kharaidze was sentenced to four years in the colony and a fine of 700 thousand rubles in the fraud case on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code). Five million rubles were also collected from her in favor of the representative of the developer of the development company Andrei Stepanov. In the summer of 2023, this decision was approved by the Moscow City Court. In March, the Second Cassation Court canceled the decision of the Moscow State Subject, and in May 2024 and the Moscow City Court canceled the verdict, sending the case for a new consideration in the Tverskaya District Court.
The ex-deputy is accused of extortion of Stepanov 15 million rubles-Haraidze allegedly threatened to disrupt the construction of an elite residential complex in the Tver district. According to the prosecution, the convict decided to take advantage of the conflict of local residents with the developer of the Apart-Project and invited the company representative to resolve the issue for the specified amount. The key witness in this case was a resident of one of the houses of Guram Grigoryan, who allegedly knew about the fact of a bribe and helped Haraidze with receiving money. At the same time, only 10 thousand rubles were found on a search of a former deputy. Grigoryan himself was sentenced to two years in a colony under a similar article.
Haraidze considers criminal prosecution related to her intention to participate in the State Duma elections in 2021.
The woman was detained on the night of June 18, 2021, after the security forces searched in her house. They seized the phone and computer, and also took out two five thousandth bills from the Haraidze coat. The politician told her neighbor Varvara Gornostaeva that she did not put this money in the coat. Then Kharaidze was taken to the Investigative Committee for a night interrogation, a lawyer was not allowed to go to her for a long time.
In June 2021, the court sent a deputy to the pre -trial detention center. In protest, 63-year-old Haraidze announced a hunger strike. In July of that year, she was released from the pre -trial detention center, replacing the imprisonment for house arrest.
