The Parliament of Hungary forbade the implementation of measures that violate the rights of children, including the law adopted in 2021 on the ban on LGBT Propaganda among minors. The new law also introduces fines for participating in an illegal meeting or its organization of up to 200 thousand forints (about $ 550). It is reported by Deutsche Welle.
The new law will allow the Hungarian authorities to prohibit public events that they will consider violating the rights of children. At the same time, the deputies allowed the police to use the person recognition system to look for participants in inconsistent shares. The law orders the fines for participating in such events to be sent to programs to protect children.

The website of the State Assembly of Hungary says that the bill was introduced by deputies from the Parties “Fides-the Hungarian Civil Union” and the “Christian Democratic People’s Party”, which are the ruling coalition. 136 deputies voted in support of the law, 27 parliamentarians opposed.
DW reports that opposition deputies lit smoke bombs in protest and performed the anthem of the USSR, hinting at the conservative nature of amendments to the legislation.
