At the age of 92, the People's Artist of Russia, singer Bedros Kirkorov, died. This was announced on Instagram by his son Philip Kirkorov.

Bedros Kirkorov was born on June 2, 1932 in the Bulgarian city of Varna. In the late 1940s he graduated from the school with a specialty of a shoemaker, after which he worked for several years in his specialty. Then he began to sing in an amateur choir at a shoe enterprise. At the age of 18, without musical education, he was adopted by an intern in the state opera Varna. In 1966, Bedros Kirkorov graduated in Moscow, the department of the musical comedy of GITIS. In those years, he began to perform in the programs of the Moskontzer, performed songs in Italian, Russian and Bulgarian. In addition, he participated in the pop program “Melody of Friends”, in which artists from socialist countries performed. In the 1970s, Kirkorov acted as a soloist of the Moscow Regional Philharmonic, and in 1984 he became a soloist of the Novgorod Regional Philharmonic.
In 2005, Bedros Kirkorov was awarded the medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” of the II degree, in 2012 he received the title of People's Artist of Russia.
