Mutual attacks on energy infrastructure continue

On the night of March 19, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Armed Forces continued mutual shelling. This happened after during a conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin with US President Donald Trump, they agreed to immediately terminate the attacks on energy infrastructure. As the Kremlin reported, Putin "immediately gave the Russian military the corresponding team."

A few hours after that, the Russian military held a massive attack. According to the command of Ukrainian air forces, two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, four S-300 rockets and 145 drones were released across the country. As a result of the attack, Sumy, Odessa, Poltava, Dnepropetrovsk, Kiev and Chernihiv regions were injured.

The Armed Forces, in turn, were attacked by drones of the oil depot in the Krasnodar Territory. According to the local authorities, a fire began due to the fall of the drones of the drone, the work of the enterprise was suspended. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced "a provocation specially prepared by the Kyiv regime aimed at disrupting the peaceful initiatives of the US president."

At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities, unlike Putin, did not announce the termination of attacks on energy facilities - President Vladimir Zelensky only stated that Kiev was ready to support this idea, but only when the details of the transaction would be clear. “Russia and Ukraine, through the mediation of the United States, may agree not to beat the energy infrastructure. Our side will support this. But it cannot be that Russia will beat in our energy, and we will be silent. We will answer, ”he said.

New negotiations in Saudi Arabia with the participation of Ukraine will be held next week

A partial ceasefire will be discussed at a new meeting in Saudi Arabia next week, Vladimir Zelensky said.

“Regarding the next meeting, I am not yet ready to disclose all the details. But the next meeting in Saudi Arabia is meant if we talk about a partial ceasefire. For example, in infrastructure, energy, and so on. And also the safety of shipping will be discussed, ” said the President of Ukraine.

From the words of Zelensky, it is not clear whether it will be a tripartite meeting with the participation of the United States and the Russian Federation or whether the Ukrainian delegation will meet only with the Americans. In Moscow and Washington, regarding future negotiations, nothing concrete has yet reported.

According to the results of the conversation of Putin and Trump, a press release from the White House spoke of “immediate negotiations in the Middle East” without specifying dates, format and details. According to the President of Ukraine, the meeting will discuss the issues of the “technical level”. Kyiv will send specialists in energy and infrastructure there. Zelensky noted that Ukraine will prepare and transfer to partners a list of energy, infrastructure and civilian facilities, according to which the Russian Federation should stop strokes within the framework of a 30-day partial ceasefire. If Moscow does this, the Ukrainian military will also not beat Russian energy facilities.

Zelensky also stated that until the end of today he would talk to Donald Trump - and will discuss the details of the next steps for peaceful settlement.
