Against the ex-head of the Perm Museum of Contemporary Art ( PermM ) Naili Allahverdieva opened a criminal case of insulting the feelings of believers (part 1 of Article 148 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by Properm.ru and RIA Novosti with reference to sources.
PropermM, citing interlocutors in the prosecutor's office, claims that the case against Allahverdieva was excited "after citizens' appeals to different power structures."
The publication claims that the reason for the persecution was several works included in the collection of the museum, "the free demonstration of which Allahverdiev made."
“The images in the public domain were on the museum’s website. The applicants, for example, insulted the use of biblical plots in the works of Sergei Gorshkov’s works “Angel with a pipe”, “Blue cities” Tanya Anoshina, engraving by Konstantin Starochedotov Paradisi and other works of contemporary art, ”writes Properm .
In 2020, the PermM museum conducted an exhibition of Gorshkov’s works “Angels among us”. Now information about it has disappeared from the site of the institution, mention of the exhibition remained on the social networks of the organization. Information about other work, apparently, was also removed from the site, Mediazona noticed.
The press service of the Perm Department of the Investigative Committee refused to comment on information about the persecution of Allahverdieva.
In December 2024, Nalya Allahverdieva announced the departure from the post of director PermM. Prior to her at the institution and house at Allahverdieva , searches were held in a criminal case on the justification of terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) against Galerist Marat Gelman, who founded PermM in 2009 and led them until 2013.
