Workers go on strike in the Perm region due to lack of wages

Workers of the Aleksandrovsky Machine-Building Plant went on strike due to a long lack of wages. According to URA.ru, problems with salaries began in December 2024.

“At the enterprise, my husband was told that they were allegedly having some kind of crisis. At the end of December, the balances for November and part for December were issued. And so, in January-February we sat with almost no money. They gave me “kopecks”: sometimes 5, sometimes 12 thousand rubles,” said the wife of a machine plant worker.

According to her, in March the workers were still “patient,” but patience “snapped” and people began to go on strike. The worker's wife estimated the number of strikers at one hundred.

When the company paid off part of its debts, the workers agreed to resume production. At the same time, they set a condition for the plant management - payment of debts for February. The husband of the URA.ru interlocutor received only 20% of his monthly salary, so the workers again warned management about a strike on April 14.

Aleksandrovsky Machine-Building Plant produces conveyors, electric locomotives, trolleys, gearboxes and other products for mines.

Over the past year in Russia, labor strikes have taken place in Cheboksary , Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo region, Bashkortostan and Chelyabinsk .
