The Moscow Court arrested the deputy ex -governor of the Kursk region in the fraud case with a state order

The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow sent to the pre-trial detention center the deputy ex-governor of the Kursk region Alexei Dedov in the fraud case on a particularly large amount (part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the press service of the capital's courts.

According to investigators, grandfathers and ex-governor Alexei Smirnov are involved in the theft of more than a billion rubles allocated for the construction of protective structures on the border of the region with Ukraine.

Grandfather was charged with receiving “kickbacks” in the amount of 15% of the cost of state defense order, TASS notes . The ex-official did not admit his guilt.

Earlier, the Moscow court in the fraud case arrested the ex-governor of the Kursk region Alexei Smirnov. Mash claimed that the official Director of the State Corporation of the Kursk Region Vladimir Lukin, who was detained in the case of abuse of power, gave evidence for the official.

Alexei Smirnov was the governor of the Kursk region from September 16 to December 5, 2024, replacing the novel Starovoit in this position. After the resignation of the official, Putin appointed Alexander Hishtein to the post of temporary head of the State Duma deputy. In the presidential decree on the appointment, it was noted that Smirnov resigned of his own free will.
