On April 19, the supply of electricity was interrupted throughout Abkhazia, the Chernomorenergo press service said.
“An accident occurred in the Georgian energy system, as a result of which the entire energy system of Abkhazia is de -energized,” the TASS quoted in the message quoted.
The main source of electricity for Abkhazia is the Ingur hydroelectric station located in Georgia.
The Georgian television channel Rustavi 2 reports that interruptions in the supply of electricity were recorded throughout Georgia, including in Tbilisi. As explained by the “State Electrosystem of Georgia”, the high -voltage line “Cavkasioni” was disconnected as a result of the accident.
By 12:30 local time, the energy company said, the accident was eliminated, the supply of electricity was resumed.
