Putin declared Easter truce. Zelensky announced "an attempt to play with the lives of people"

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to stop all the fighting “from 18:00 on April 19 to 00:00 on April 21,” the Kremlin press service said.

Putin made a corresponding statement during a meeting in the Kremlin with the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said that we are talking about "Putin’s next attempt to play with the lives of people."

“Now air anxiety is spreading through the territory of Ukraine. At 17:15, Russian shock drones were recorded in our sky, ”Zelensky wrote in his telegram channel. “Shahda in our sky is Putin’s real attitude to Easter and to the lives of people,” he emphasized.

Update: The Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrei Sibiga, in turn, indicated that Putin’s statements, in his opinion, should not be believed. He also recalled that Ukraine has accepted the US proposal to terminate a month of attacks on energy infrastructure, which Russia, he emphasized, does not fulfill. “Russia at any time may agree to a proposal for a complete and unconditional ceasefire for a period of 30 days,” Sibiga wrote on the social network X.
