Ukraine proposed to discuss the section of territories after the ceasefire and announced its readiness to return the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant with the participation of the United States. This was reported by Reuters with reference to the text of the package of Kiev's proposals about the world transmitted by the United States at negotiations in London and prepared by representatives of Ukraine together with European officials.
The document has four points - on the ceasefire, security guarantees, territorial and economic issues. Here is their short retelling:
Cease-fire. Russia undertakes to completely cease fire in the sky, on land and at sea. Along with this, the parties with the participation of the United States and the EU begin negotiations on the technical implementation of the ceasefire, and the preparation of a full -fledged peace agreement is underway. The United States and third countries control the ceasefire. The Russian Federation returns all deported Ukrainian children, releases all civilian prisoners, participates in the exchange of prisoners of war (“all for all”).
Security guarantees. Kiev concludes obligations with the allies (including the United States), similar to the 5th article on collective defense , there is no consensus on the country's membership in NATO, and also strives in the EU. There are no restrictions on the Armed Forces of Ukraine, foreign military support and a foreign contingent in Ukraine.
Territory. Territorial issues will be discussed after a complete ceasefire and will begin with the determination of the control line. Ukraine returns control over the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant (with the participation of the United States), over the Kakhovsky hydroelectric power station and over the Kinburnic scythe, as well as an unhindered passage along the Dnieper.
Economy. Kyiv and Washington conclude a deal on minerals. Ukraine will be completely restored and will receive financial compensation, including at the expense of frozen assets of the Russian Federation. The United States can gradually soften sanctions against Russia after reaching peace and resume them in case of Moscow’s violation of the terms of the agreement.
Reuters also published US proposals around the world in Ukraine, transferred by Special Supervisor Steve Whitkoff for discussion at a meeting in London. In them, Washington proposes to recognize the annexation of Crimea by Russia and demands from Kyiv to abandon NATO membership.
Utcoff flew to Moscow for the fourth time. Right now he is meeting with Vladimir Putin. The meeting also contains the head of the RDII Kirill Dmitriev and Putin's assistant Yuri Ushakov.
Today, Time magazine has published a large interview with US President Donald Trump. In it, Trump said that he doubts that Ukraine will ever become a member of NATO, and is also sure that Crimea will “remain in Russia”. When asked about the end of the war for 24 hours, Trump said that he said this "figuratively, as an exaggeration to emphasize his thought."
