Stephen Whitkoff met with Putin for the fourth time
The specialized US Presidential Steven Witkoff specialist in Moscow flew to Moscow to discuss Donald Trump's peaceful plan.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Whitkoff met in the Kremlin with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian assistant Yuri Ushakov and the special representative of investment and economic cooperation Kirill Dmitriev also took part in the Russian side.
Before the meeting in the Kremlin, Whitkoff, along with Dmitriev, “took a short walk” in the center of Moscow, Interfax said.
Whitkoff is the main negotiator with Russia by the United States. He meets with Putin for the fourth time, the previous meeting was held in St. Petersburg on April 11.
How Moscow relates to the peaceful plan of Donald Trump is completely unclear. In the published fragment, Lavrov agreed with Trump’s opinion that the parties were “moving in the right direction”. The minister said that the Russian Federation is “ready to conclude a deal”, but there are moments that need to be “finalized”, and now the parties are busy with this. The US allies around the world express concern about the idea of Donald Trump as part of a peace settlement plan to recognize Russia's sovereignty over the Crimea, writes CNN, whose journalists talked with senior European and Asian diplomats.

Diplomats from US allies in Asia, reports CNN, in private conversations with the Americans also express their concern to the consequences of the recognition of Crimea by Russian. “China is watching. We are concerned about what message they can endure from such a cessation of the war, which, it seems, rewards Russia for bloodshed, ”the Asian diplomat told the channel.

The day before, commenting on the “pro -Russian” of his peaceful plan, for which he is criticized in Ukraine and Europe, Trump said that in the current conditions he believes that if Russia, in principle, stops the fighting and refuses to capture all of Ukraine, it will already be “pleased with a great concession” by Moscow.

The Russians do not have such a problem - no matter how they try to prove the opposite, they do not know how we, Ukrainians, live here.
No matter how hard we try to continue to live, after shelling all the inhabitants of the city are morally depressed - this is very visible. We have one choice - to gather ourselves in parts, continue to live, support each other and hope that this time it will not arrive [...].
