Judge of the Moscow City Court Alexander Rybak sentenced the 28-year-old Shorta novel to 6 years in the colony in the case of confidential cooperation with the Legion of Freedom of Russia (Article 275.1 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the correspondent of "Mediazons" from the hall of the Moscow City Court.
Judge Fisherman separately explained that the term of 6 years was by adding with the previous sentence, and the last months in the pre -trial detention center will be credited according to the formula one and a half: “Of the six years you have less than three and a half years.”

The prosecutor Alexei Tsarev asked for the sentence of Roman Shport to the six years of the colony and a fine of 200 thousand rubles.

“In Russia, there are only moms of my relatives, everyone else from Ukraine. So, of course, I worry about them and cannot be indifferent to atrocities, for which they press me. <...> Is it all right? No one was injured from my actions. There are no victims, there is no damage, ”the Shport turned to the judge and asked, if he found him guilty to limit himself to a conditional term.
In January 2024, Shport was already convicted of putting leaflets with an appeal to join the RDK. The 2nd-Western District Military Court sent him for two years and three months to the colony-settlement, softening the initial accusation of calls for terrorism via the Internet. In early April, the deadline for this sentence expired.
In the second criminal case, he was accused of the fact that he also conducted correspondence with the Legion of Freedom of Russia and expressed his readiness to spread the materials of the legion. On the telephone phone, they found a correspondence with the user “Legion West”, which begins with a remark of the accused: “Hello, I am from Moscow, I want to join the WDL.” The prosecutor's office also provided the court with a certificate from the General Staff about the Liberty of Russia Legion, but it was not announced completely due to the secrecy of the data.
Roman Shport in court emphasized that he distributed only the materials of the RDK and had already left his term for this. He abandoned the idea of cooperation with the legion, to whom he managed to write only two messages as soon as he found out about his "extremist status."
During the investigation and consideration of the case in court, he refused to answer questions about the attitude to the current government and the war in Ukraine, but in the last word said : “I am not apolitical, which can be seen from the fact that I visited the shares of Alexei Anatolyevich Navalny, who opposed corruption and despotism, since I was impressed by Christian democracy, despite the fact that I agnostic. <...> I am against the so -called special military operation of the Russian Federation. I am not ready to sit for this and I do not want to suffer, but I, apparently, have no choice. ”
