Due to military exercises, the border crossing in Narva will be closed from April 30 to May 3. The exercises of the police and the customs service will be held right in the border post. Control points will appear on some roads in Narva, but the road traffic will remain.

May holidays and "Museum Night"

Festive May weekend this year will last from 1 to 4 and from 8 to 11 May. On May 9, on the 80th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War, in St. Petersburg a parade on Palace Square, an Immortal Regiment, a concert program on the palace and a festive salute are planned . The city center will be blocked for almost two days.

And on the night of May 17 to 18 in St. Petersburg, the traditional “Museum Night” will be held . This year more than 140 sites will take part in it. Among the new are the European University.

Metro restrictions and roads

For the whole of May, due to the repair of the escalator, the Petrogradskaya metro station will change the hours of operation: the station will be closed from 7:30 to 10:30, and from 15:15 to 19:50 it will be limited.

New tariffs will begin to operate for those who pay in cash or bank cards: travel will cost from 300 to 600 rubles. New grounds for recognition by the “ino -agent”, punishment for “failure to rejoice about sabotage” and “discrediting”

In May, a law comes into force, expanding the grounds for inclusion in the register of "foreign -agents". According to it, the “ino -agent” can recognize the one who assists international organizations in the actions of “directed against the security of the Russian Federation”.

In addition, for failure to do about sabotage or plans to commit it in May, Russians are facing criminal liability. Such a crime will be imposed on a period of up to a year.

The punishment is also tightened for the “discrediting” of the army - since May, criminal liability can threaten for the first violation if it is committed from selfish motives or hiring. Previously, the Criminal Code was only an article for “repeated discrediting”.

In May, in Russia, an open register of debtors on alimony will work. Vladimir Putin signed the law on its creation a year ago. Those who were brought to administrative or criminal liability for debts to children or are on the wanted list will fall into the register.

Limiting the amount of bank transfers without opening an account

It will be possible to transfer no more than 100 thousand rubles at a time without opening a bank account without opening . Previously, the maximum amount of such a transfer in the law was not provided, which, as legislators note, did not comply with international standards.
