On the night of May 2, the Stavropol Territory was attacked by Ukrainian drones, said the head of the region Vladimir Vladimirov.

According to Vladimirov, fragments of drones fell in the village of the Moscow Izobilnensky District. “The infrastructure of the settlement has not suffered, all systems are valid in normal mode,” the governor wrote . There are no victims as a result of the attack, he said.

At the Center for Countering of Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), they said that "unknown drones successfully flew to the military unit of the Russia's space intelligence, known as the Zvezda Object." According to the head of the center Andrei Kovalenko, this part is one of the main stations of the Russian space electronic intelligence system.

The system arose back in Soviet times and was intended, including for global interception of signals from satellites. This is “in fact, the center for the analysis of space information, which belongs to the structure of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia,” writes Kovalenko. He claims that this system is part of the strategic architecture of Russian intelligence, which is used both for monitoring the situation in military areas and for cyberspiration.

The Russian Ministry of Defense did not report the attack of drones on the Stavropol Territory. On the morning of May 2, the department reported that during the night, 121 Ukrainian drones were destroyed on duty at the regions of Russia, but the Stavropolie was not mentioned among these regions.
