A new criminal case was opened against the ex-photographer of the headquarters of Navalny

A new criminal case was opened against the ex-photographer of the headquarters of Navalny Alexander Strukov: under the article on calls for terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by RIA "Novosti" with reference to a source in law enforcement agencies.

RIA Novosti write that some “event” that occurred in 2023 was the reason for initiating the case. Other details are still unknown.

In November 2023, Strukova sentenced to eight years a colony of general regime and a fine of 200 thousand rubles in the case of calls for terrorism (part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code), excitement of hatred (paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 282 of the Criminal Code) and insulting the feelings of believers (part 1 of article 148 of the Criminal Code). In January 2024, the Court of Appeal softened the sentence, reducing the term of up to seven years and ten months of the colony, and the fine-up to 180 thousand rubles. In cassation, the fine was removed at all - according to the episode about the insult of the feelings of believers, the term of holding accountable has expired.

The reason for the persecution was the comments of the photographer under posts in the telegram channel of the edition of Znak.com. Some of them began with the words “Glory to Ukraine!”, “Down with the power of the Chekists”, “Everyone with a good morning, Down with Putin”.

In conclusion, Strukov regularly faces pressure. So, since December 2024, a man has already been placed five times in a schizo, and in total he spent more than 70 days in the insulator.

The convict also talked about health problems. The man had inflammation on his face, arms and legs due to the fact that he works in dusty brick sawing. He also suffers from chronic asthma and bronchitis, but the colony administration ignores the requests for hospitalization to confirm the diagnoses.
