The 17th package of EU sanctions entered into force
The EU Council for Foreign Affairs officially approved the 17th since the beginning of a full-scale warfare a package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, the Supreme Commissioner Kai Callas said . The list of sanctions is published in the EU official journal.

Until now, I and many of my compatriots, almost everyone, feel hatred of everything that happens. Now I live in Germany - a country that unleashed the Second World War. I live in a society that is still out of my past, I watch how they work with historical memory at the state level so as not to repeat. I hear how the Germans are talking about the collective responsibility of the Germans as a silent majority.
I think that it will be after the war and whether they will ever be able to talk about what is happening right now in the Russian Federation. Do not be afraid to say aloud about those who are fighting, who reconciled, and those who support what is happening right at that moment. I spent several beautiful years in St. Petersburg and I am still not ashamed of my diploma to St. Petersburg State University and my Russian language, which I know on a par with Ukrainian. But I can’t imagine my trip to Russia .
And at the same time I think about the future, about the time when this tragedy, which has forever changed the fate of millions of people, will complete its hot phase. About the time when we will have to talk to each other again. Not in the language of the diplomatic protocol, but in the language of humanity, which both sides will have to, albeit with difficulty, but remember. I really want to live up to this time. And until the time when we all can start really comprehending what happened, and not just grab the air from powerlessness and anger. It will be a very slow and difficult dialogue. But I understand that he will have to take place. To survive. In order not to repeat. To remember.
It seems to me that I and my contemporaries had a chance to get into the very eyes of a hurricane, in the historical time and place in which the world order of Europe is changing again. The old deterrence mechanisms have lost their effectiveness. News have not yet been invented, and thousands and millions of people pay the price for this. Now everyone who is connected or associates themselves with Ukraine is very painful and bitter. I just want to scream. Even if you think that you are used to and learned to live on. I do not know how much more time it will be to believe that “good Russians” also exist. Now I just want to say - leave us alone, give us time, do not demand from us understanding. If you want to help, help, but do not wait for appreciation or acceptance. Those who have chosen not to be silent in modern Russia live their complex existential choice, their fate, but in fact it has little to do with how everything is perceived in Ukraine, to what is happening in my country, in the lives and hearts of Ukrainians.
We all have a lot of work ahead. And on both sides there will be people who remained on the side of hatred and intransigence. This is a reality for the coming decades. We have already changed forever. But I really want to think that not only for the worse.
