Kremlin: the conditions of the ceasefire and the memorandum of the world are different

Moscow is engaged in the preparation of two separate documents - the list of conditions for the ceasefire and the memorandum of the world. In the understanding of the Russian government, these are two different documents, follows from the comments of the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

According to Peskov, Russia is already working on a memorandum of a future peace treaty. “No one is interested in delaying the process, they work all dynamically. We will inform you, ”said Peskov. At the same time, he noted that most of the process "should not for obvious reasons be open to the public."

For the first time, Russian President Vladimir Putin mentioned the memorandum following a conversation with US President Donald Trump, which took place on May 19. “We agreed that Russia will offer and is ready to work with the Ukrainian side on the memorandum about a possible future peace treaty,” Putin said. He added that the memorandum should indicate "the principles of possible ceasefire for a certain time in case of relevant agreements."

The delegations of Russia and Ukraine in direct negotiations in Istanbul, held on May 16, agreed to exchange conditions for the ceasefire before on May 16. Immediately after that meeting, the head of the Russian group of negotiators, Vladimir Medinsky, said that by the next round the parties agreed to "present their vision of the future ceasefire, register this in details."

However, today Peskov made it clear that in Moscow these two documents are considered as independent. “Of course, a list of conditions for the ceasefire will be separately. This was an agreement on this in Istanbul, ”said the Kremlin spokesman. Peskov did not specify whether work has already begun on this document.

Ukrainian drones attacked Moscow - for the first time since the beginning of May

The Ukrainian drones attacked Moscow, the mayor of the city Sergey Sobyanin said today soon after noon.

According to Sobyanin, the Russian air defense forces shot down three drones flying to the city. He did not specify whether there were any damage or the wreckage injured as a result of the fall, and where exactly these debris fell.

The head of the Domodedovo near Moscow Yevgeny Khrustalev, in turn, said that the fragments of one of the drones fell on the territory of the kindergarten. According to her, no one was injured, children and educators were evacuated to the basement of the building.

At the airports of Sheremetyevo, Zhukovsky and Domodedovo, restrictions on reception and sending flights were introduced - they lasted about an hour. Two hours later, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky closed again. There were no restrictions in Vnukovo.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that six drones were shot down over the Moscow region at night. The department did not report on the repelment of a daily attack. The raids were not commented on the Armed Forces.

The last time Ukrainian drones attacked Moscow on May 6 and 7 - on the eve of Victory Day. I do not believe in negotiations from the word at all. This is understandable to any thinking person - the conditions are impossible and humiliating. Until recently, I got into the hope that the world would rally around us. I could not believe that after 70 years of conversation about democracy, the inviolability of borders and mutual respect, the whole world would simply observe this nightmare. Putin spat on the whole world in the face, and the whole world wiped and smiles guiltily [...]. True, I did not believe in the war, it seemed to me that it was simply impossible, because in the yard of the 21st century. Probably, you just need to realize that humanity is hiding behind masks and waiting for the moment to expose its essence - and it does not matter what date is on the calendar.
