In the first year of his life there, Sidiki received Italian citizenship, while retaining Russian citizenship. In 2007 he returned to Russia. He worked as a plumber and electrician, and was interested in tourism and cycling.
According to investigators, in the summer of 2023, on instructions from the Ukrainian special services, Sidiki took part in an attack on the Dyaghilevo military airfield in the Ryazan region, not far from his home, and in the fall of the same year derailed 19 carriages of a freight train. The anarchist did not deny this part of the accusation, saying in court that he “wanted to damage the military infrastructure of Russia.” He was also accused of traveling to Turkey and Latvia to train in terrorist activities and preparing a third attack. Sidiki no longer admitted this. According to him, he did not learn anything new at the meeting with Ukrainians in Turkey and Latvia, and did not plan any explosions, as he was depressed due to the death of his grandmother.
Sidiki was detained on November 29, 2023. He was taken to police department No. 4 in Ryazan, where he was tortured.
“People ask me questions: “Are there chronic diseases?” After answering “no,” I get hit in the head, which makes me fall to the floor, and they start kicking me. They tie the wires to the legs and after the command “Call!” They begin to torture with electric shock. When they shocked me, they shouted at me to sing the anthem of Ukraine, but due to clouding of consciousness, I could not remember it,” the anarchist said in letters to Mediazona.
In his last words, Sidiki expressed regret that his actions endangered Bogatyrev, Tarabukin and Unshakov: “They were not the target, and I am glad that this did not lead to serious harm to health. My target was Russian military equipment and the supply chains that are used to move military equipment and fuel to it. In this way, I wanted to make it more difficult to conduct military operations against Ukraine.”
Sidiki's lawyer, Igor Popovsky, insisted that his client should be recognized as a prisoner of war in accordance with the 1949 Geneva Convention, which extends this status to participants in organized resistance on enemy territory.
On May 20, the Central District Military Court in Yekaterinburg sentenced 27-year-old anarchist Alexei Rozhkov to 16 years in prison in the case of arson of a military registration and enlistment office.
