
The Mi-8 helicopter crashed in the Oryol region. RIA Novosti was informed about this by the press service of the Moscow Military District. The crew, according to preliminary data, died. The flight was planned.
The preliminary cause of the accident, according to the military, could have been a technical malfunction. A commission of the Aerospace Forces was sent to the scene of the incident to investigate.

As TASS clarifies with reference to the press service, the helicopter crashed in a deserted area, not far from the village of Naryshkino, Uritsky district. There is no destruction on the ground.
Mash and Shot reported that there were two crew members on board - a pilot and a flight engineer. The cause of the disaster, according to telegram channels, was engine failure.
Eyewitnesses told RBC that they heard the sounds of explosions after the fall. “We were walking and saw a helicopter, then it suddenly went quiet. We thought it had flown away. Suddenly explosions started - they thought it was a UAV and ran into the store,” said a resident of Naryshkin.
According to the 112 telegram channel, there was no ammunition on board the helicopter.
The Ministry of Defense has not yet officially confirmed the death of the crew.
