The City Hall of Chelyabinsk did not agree on a campaign of maoists against domestic violence

The administration of Chelyabinsk refused to coordinate the picket of the Union of Maoists of the Urals against domestic violence, planned for June 1. This was reported by the activists themselves, who published the response of the city hall.

The “Union of Maoists of the Urals” was going to hold an action with the alleged number of participants of 50 people in the square Aloe Field near the monument to Lenin. The response of the deputy head of the Chelyabinsk administration on social development says that at that time the site will be busy for another event.

In the response, the city hall recalled that the city has two guide parks allotted for such promotions, but they will also be occupied by other mass events that day.

As a result, activists were offered to hold their picket on another day and preferably in one of the guide parks.

“All specially designated corrals for“ free meetings ”in Chelyabinsk are busy because invisible little men will conduct fake rallies in the support of the authorities,” the activists are sure.

The City Hall of Chelyabinsk has repeatedly refused to coordinate the shares of Maoists. In their refusals, officials usually use the same excuse - on the declared date of the site where you can hold stocks are already busy. So, in August 2023, the city authorities did not agree on a rally in defense of the reproductive rights of women, in October -a picket of solidarity with the Palestinians, and in December - a picket against the ban on abortion in private clinics. In 2024, Maoists were not allowed to hold a picket in defense of YouTube, shares against the isolation of the Internet in Russia and a picket against surveillance and censorship on the Internet.

At the end of 2024, Roskomnadzor blocked the Union of Maoists of the Urals in VKontakte.
