The court in St. Petersburg sentenced the media manager related to Evgeny Prigozhin to 10 years in prison

The Petrograd District Court of St. Petersburg sentenced the former head of the Patriot and Troll factory Ilya Gorbunov to 10 years in a maximum security colony and a fine of 500 thousand rubles. This was reported by the press service of the vessels of St. Petersburg.

Gorbunov was accused of extortion and storage of drugs (paragraph “B” of part 3 of article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, part 1 of article 228 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, he tried to receive from the former colleague (at that time - a candidate for deputies of the Legislative Assembly) Alexander Malkevich 10–20 million rubles, threatening to publish “defamatory information”.

Malkevich turned to law enforcement agencies. Under the control of the security forces, he met with Gorbunov several times and handed him part of the amount. After that, Gorbunov was detained. During the search, he found the remains of hash.

Gorbunov himself claimed that it was Milkevich who turned to him and persuaded to help raise the image before the elections. According to Gorbunov, the former colleague did not give him the money - he simply threw it on the table, and the operatives stuck him with the bold bills in his hands so that he had a powder. Moreover, Gorbunov allegedly prepared an agreement to work with the candidate, but he was not introduced to the case.

Gorbunov tried several times to go to the war, but the representatives of the Ministry of Defense allegedly unfolded before the pre -trial detention center, he wrote in a letter to the Rotonda publication.

Since 2019, Gorbunov actually led the Patriot media group, since 2020 - the Troll Factory.
