In the United States, a civilian military intelligence officer was arrested for trying to transfer secret data to the representative of another state. Within three days, he abducted the secret information from work and handed it over to the FBI agent under the guise, whom he considered an employee of the foreign special services.

As stated in the Ministry of Justice, 28-year-old Naitan Vilas Latch worked in reconnaissance by an IT specialist since 2019 and had access to top secret documents. In March 2025, the FBI received information that one of the employees of the department was trying to transmit information to the "friendly state."

In an anonymous letter, the suspect said that "he did not agree and does not share the values of the administration [in the White House]" and therefore "is ready to share the secret information" to which he had access, including reconnaissance reports and unprocessed intelligence.

The FBI managed to contact him. Latch, as stated in court materials, rewrote the secret data in a notebook for three days, and then laid it in a cache in the park. He called this data a "model" and proposed more information in exchange for foreign citizenship. The suspect said that he did not believe that the situation in the USA "will improve in the long run."
