The FSB accused Oxford Russia Fund of "subversive work" in Russia and issued 15 teachers a warning about a ban on cooperation with "undesirable" organizations

The Center for Public Relations of the FSB reported on the exposure of the "intelligence and subversive" activities of the British Oxford Russia Fund , recognized in Russia as an "unwanted" organization.

According to the security forces, the fund recruited Russian teachers for the work "to the detriment of security" of the country. According to the FSB press release, such work was expressed in the distribution of manuals aimed at “support for sexual minorities and LGBT price”, and collecting information about the “domestic political and socio-economic situation in the country” amid the war in Ukraine.

The security forces issued a warning to 15 university teachers in the Volgograd, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk and Tomsk regions. One teacher drew up a protocol on the participation in the activities of an “unwanted” organization (Article 20.33 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), and one of the educational institutions also obliged to eliminate “the reasons and conditions that create threats to the security of our country”.

Judging by the FSB report, in the warnings issued to teachers, it was about the inadmissibility of cooperation with “undesirable” and other foreign organizations to the detriment of Russian security - the documents also said criminal liability under Articles 284.1 of the Criminal Code and 275.1 of the Criminal Code.

The report on the work of the FSB and the “exposure” of the activities of Oxford Russia Fond also stated that today the Prosecutor General, based on the materials of the security forces, recognized the “unwanted” organization “British Council” , which is engaged in the promotion of the English culture and language, including one of the organizers of the IELTS exam.

“ The British Council <...> is directly involved in the special services of Great Britain in confidential projects aimed at undermining the sovereignty of independent states. His participation was established in the secret operations of the British intelligence services, disguised as assistance in resolving conflicts, promoting young political leaders and promoting Western non -traditional values, ”the FSB said.
