Zamoskvoretsky District Court arrested for two months the entrepreneur and blogger Areg Schipikhin, who was abducted a few days earlier at the Yaroslavl station in Moscow, the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow reported.

Shchepikhin was charged with public calls to extremism on the Internet (part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and inciting hatred with the threat of violence (part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The meeting was closed. In the photographs from the hall of meetings widespread by the press service of the court, the bruise under the eye is visible near Shchepikhin.

Shchepikhin repeatedly recorded a video with insults of the Chechen people, Allah and the Qur'an. This was the reason for his abduction: the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that he was “not abducted, but detained”, since a test was being tested against him about the insulting the feelings of believers.
On the abductors themselves, Shchepikhin brought things under articles on the abduction of a person and abuse of authority (126 and 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Their arrest was not reported.
