The “Federal Passenger Company” (FPK) said that “cases of landing by the border services of Lithuania passengers with non -bioometric foreign passports of Russia” are recorded from trains following in Kaliningrad.

FPK, writes RIA Novosti, recommends passengers to avoid such situations, buy a ticket no later than 28 hours before the train departure, it is necessary to draw up a simplified travel document on the railway ( UPD - it is necessary for transit through Lithuania for people who go from/to the Kalingrad region on a single trip), as well as fill out the questionnaire on the site of consular institutions of Lithuania.

“When landing, the guides will advise passengers without the necessary documents to refuse the trip,” the report said in a widespread FPK.

Lithuania at the end of May announced that from June 1, the Russian foreign passport without biometrics would not be recognized as a real travel document to enter its territory. The relevant statement of the country's Foreign Ministry emphasized that the new rule does not apply to the travel of Russian citizens by transit through the territory of Lithuania by rail from Kaliningrad to the territory of the Russian Federation and vice versa.
