TASS: US citizen Joseph Tater, sent for compulsory treatment in the case of an attack on a police officer in Moscow, left Russia

US citizen Joseph Tater discharged from the Moscow Psychiatric Clinical Hospital and left the territory of Russia, TASS told law enforcement.

“Tater somehow managed to leave the medical institution, where he was sent by decision of the Meshchansky court of Moscow for forced treatment. Currently, the location of the American has not been established, he left the Russian Federation, ”the agency’s interlocutor said.

In early April, the court sent a tatra accused in the case of the use of violence against a police officer (part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code), for compulsory treatment. As TASS reported, during the investigation, Moscow doctors revealed “mental disorders” from the Tatra. The defense of the American called his hospitalization illegal and unreasonable.

The TASS source in the “Medical Circles” said that the Tatra hospital was discharged for outpatient treatment, since “doctors did not have any reason to keep it in the clinic.” The lawyer of the American Polina Vlasuk told the agency that she "does not know anything about this."
