The Ministry of Justice of Russia declared the so -called foreign agent of opposition policy Andrei Pivovarov. He was released from a conclusion in the colony as part of the exchange of prisoners between Moscow and Washington in 2024.

In addition to him, seven people are added to the list. Among them is the researcher of the International Amnesty in Russia Oleg Kozlovsky, Executive Director of the Memorial International Society, Elena Zhemkova, who collaborated with the Memorial Violetta Fitzner, Natalya Secretarova and Denis Shadov, human rights activist Ruslan Kutaev and a blogger, former member of the House-2 released show-Rustam.

The legislation on foreign agents allows the Russian authorities to declare people and organization agents almost arbitrarily. At the same time, citizens are amazed in rights, they are prohibited from being elected in the elections of all levels, teaching, working in the public service. The laws on agents were repeatedly criticized by human rights activists, many of them after criticism fell into the state register of the so -called agents.
