Tagirova Valentina Tagirovna

In the winter of 2023, an unknown person wrote to Valentina Tagirova in a telegram. According to her, the anonymous person introduced himself as an employee of a paramilitary organization of Ukraine and demanded to do what he said. At the same time, the anonymous person knew everything about Valentina and her close relatives and threatened her daughter and father. This convinced Tagirova to agree to his demands.

Later, “Plato” contacted her. At his request, Tagirova took several photographs of Samara buildings, and also - after a pause of several weeks - bought acetone, a plastic canister, a sheet of foam plastic and a can of aluminum paint. After she took these things to the place that “Platon” had told her about the day before, Tagirova was detained on charges of preparing for a terrorist attack.

They did not search for or detain the potential organizer of the terrorist attack. The defense and Valentina Tagirova herself are confident that “Platon” is FSB officer Yegor Elistratov. We talked about what evidence there is for this in this material .

After Valentina Tagirova’s story became public, volunteers from Russia and other countries began to help her. Valentina is regularly sent the necessary hygiene products and food, and recently, at Tagirova’s request, caring people bought a dress for trips to court and paid for visits from a civilian dentist to the colony. Valentina also participates in exhibitions of drawings by Russian prisoners. Her work can be seen in Warsaw, Berlin, Belgrade and Tokyo.

On June 3, 2025, Valentina Tagirova was sentenced to eight years in prison.

April 18, 2023

Valentina Tagirova took acetone and other things to the courtyard of an abandoned building, the address of which was given to her by “Platon”. As soon as she returned to the car, she was detained by FSB officers.

June 2024

Tagirova was sent to a punishment cell for 15 days (this is the maximum possible period). Due to illness, Tagirova did not get enough sleep and lay down on the bed during the day - this was the reason for the punishment.

June 3, 2025

Valentina Tagirova was sentenced to 8 years in prison and 1 year of restriction of freedom.
