Global Network Management (GNM ), whose owner, Vladimir Vedeneyev, is connected by the maintenance and installation of the server equipment of the Telegram messenger, is connected as a technical contractor with the FSB, “important stories” found out .

The journalists of the publication conducted an experiment to find out who controls the server infrastructure of Telegram and has access to its traffic.

Using the Wireshark program, they noticed that user devices are transmitted over the network in unusual form. They also determined that the messages go through the IP -adresses belonging to the GNM , which is registered with Antigua and Barbuda -the state in the Caribbean. The company has transferred more than ten thousand IP addresses for the use of Telegram .

“Important stories” discovered the materials of the 2018 GNM lawsuit to the Date Center in Miami. In the trial, the owner of the company, a native of Togliatti Vladimir Vedeneyev, who said that he was responsible for installing and “technical support” of Telegram equipment, participated.

In addition, Vedeneev told the court that he was “the only person with an authorized access to Telegram servers in the Data Center in Miami,” and his company also owns the router in the server, through which the traffic of the messenger passes.

Vedeneyev’s business partner on Globalnet is Roman Venediktov, who studied at the Elite Military Academy and served in the Main Center for Cosmic Forestoning Defense Ministry.

In the early 2010s, Venediktov began to cooperate with the Durov family through his Piring company, which served as the traffic of the VKontakte social network.

Globalnet provides communication services to several Russian state -owned enterprises, including those working in the defense sector. Among them is the computing center for managing the Presidential Affairs (Glavnivz).

In addition, Vladimir Vedeneyev until 2024 had a share in another St. Petersburg company - Elektronelecom. The company has transferred the Telegram to the use of more than five thousand IP addresses, they note “important stories” with reference to the data of the European Internet registrar RIPE.

Journalists received the internal financial documentation of "Electrontelecom" for 2024 and learned that the former company Vedeneeva was engaged in the installation and maintenance of the "Special Information Contribution Complex from the stationary facilities of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, used to carry out operational-search measures in order to fulfill the state defense order."
