Representatives of the Telegram messenger commented on the investigation of the publication “Important Stories”, which stated that part of the Telegram server infrastructure was served by a company working with the FSB.
The Telegram press service told the BBC Russian service that the company “has contracts with dozens of different service providers around the world”, but not one of them “has access to Telegram or confidential infrastructure”.
“All Telegram servers belong to Telegram and are served by Telegram employees. Unauthorized access is impossible. Telegram has no employees or servers in Russia.
