Three Wilson's brothers - Brian, Dennis and Karl - lit the sixties with their pure American smiles. These California boys from The Beach Boys grabbed the time like a wave, and rushed on its crest in a cloud of shining spray, in a halo of smooth, sliding, vibrating tunes. The young faces of the surfed by the life of the surfed, and the green ocean wave shone, and songs sounded, light, like the sky at dawn ...
The Beach Boys lived a beautiful and special life. When their California neighbor Jim Morrison played his gloomy mysteries, they were frivolously lying on the beach. When John Lennon talked about the world revolution, they talked about girls and small open cars, on which it is so good to chase on serpentines over the ocean. These children of joy and creators of easy sound were like young gods - inaccessible to longing, unquenchable tragedies, indefinitely time. From there, from the distant sixties, from the moment of life, when the day lasts a long time, the night is short, the ocean is noisy, the wind smells of salt and the gait is light, like a flight, in our time and at any other time, their best songs, such as Good Vibrations.
Good California vibrations were their signature sign. Good energy to you, permeated with light and the sun, a world tightly like a sail in which all of us turned out to spend several short decades of life.
It was the light of their music and their message. But in a minute of the world - reckoning decades of darkness. Brian Wilson, the main generator of the melodies of The Beach Boys, paid for his gift a mental disorder and long years of voluntary imprisonment when he did not leave the room and did not get out of bed. Maybe he broke his fragile psyche, writing down the Smile album, in which he intended to achieve such an incredible subtlety of sound and such dazzling radiance that it would already be ascension to the sky, not the music of the earth. Or maybe Brian Wilson, like a unique living artifact, could exist only in the air of the sixties, only in a fresh wind, only with open windows and doors. In a stifled, stuffy, small, mundane atmosphere of other decades, he could not exist. Yes, and how to live in a world in which Jimi Hendrix is not in his colorful hussar mentik and does not dissect on his crazy hippy car Jenis Joplin?
Smile Beach Boys is a smile of Beach Boys, it is a world of multi -colored suns, steep rainbow, yellow sea, blue sand and incredible happiness of a complete, intensive life. The sun laughs, the scene is spinning, the green skirt curls, the red shoes are dancing, and even the scorpion at the bottom of the mugs with a burning fifty -degree swill changes color, obeying the cheerful magic of the best, most beautiful, most elongated psychedelia. These are pink huge lips over the world of heroes in hippo outfit and villains in the saloon, who for the second century have whiskey with scorpions and amaze with stalules, while their life passes and now passed. Well, what's from that? And after life, as during it, they sit all in the same saloon and whip the same liquid fire, only their heads became skulls. Well, think.

Brian Wilson stepped on this bright color phantasmagoria crazy. He went crazy as he left the tram, and went to the world of his dreams, not noticing that everyone around - sound engineers, technology, managers - look at him with horror.
And he ascended. He created a new world and a new religion of smiles. His plans knew no boundaries, like his fantasies. He accommodated everything, absolutely everything: the history of America with its heroes and villains, colts and flowers, prairies and oceans, the elements of air, water, earth and fire and invisible vibrations that he knew during surfing and good vibrations. He did not create an album, but the world. Mad and manic, inspired and depressed, Brian Wilson created manual musical mosaics, mounting the smallest pieces (then there were no computers) and doing the divine work of synthesis and genesis. And in the void that he saw above himself, there were already the sun he created, fragments of walls and clouds and color landscapes.
Wilson himself believed that he takes off higher and higher on the right path of creation and did not see that the more he was fighting with the void of the universe, the more fragmentary and fragmented his unfinished world is made. He did not think about money at all. God, creating the world, was thinking about the budget of the project? And Wilson did not think. It all ended in collapse. The recording company closed the project after a terrible overrun of money and time, because sober business people saw how Wilson’s madness expands and how he was trying to overcome the fact that a person is not given to overdose in feverish efforts.
And he stopped his life. The literary character RIP Van Vinkl, who fell asleep for twenty years. Brian Wilson was absent in life. All this time he wandered around dark rooms and dark conditions and was sometimes treated, taking medications that turned out to be worse than the disease. The surfing and guitarist, plunged into darkness and wandered there in oblivion, was saved by a woman named Melind Ledbetter, who became his wife. Nothing is known about the details of this late love.
When the aged California surfer Brian Wilson woke up from his strange sleep, which some called schizophrenia, and some endless depression turned out that his brothers Karl and Dennis had already left this world.
It was now a completely different world in which completely different artists and completely different melodies reigned. Brian Wilson was immersed and old, but his hair was the same - the boy’s bright hair, which absorbed the waves of the sun and light. This man who swollen from the distant past calmly started a page on a social network, with it started a group playing the covers The Beach Boys, took his old bass gitar-and began to live again, writing the melodies that connect the eras and clatter times.
Bobin with the music of the Smile album business people locked the safe many years ago so that Wilson could not get to them. His world was taken away from him. After a cheerful, beautiful smile, he was a broken, destroyed man suffering from depression, drug addiction, headache, longing, despair. Only after forty-four years the world of Wilson, the world of cheerful suns, funny cockerel, heroes-hippies, villains with collings, green skirt and color happiness were released from imprisonment in a dark safe and published.
And it turned out that this world is beautiful.
