
Against the former deputy minister of the Ministry of Defense of Timur Ivanov, another criminal case was instituted to receive a bribe in the amount of more than 152 million rubles from the head of the Olympicistroy Alexander Fomin. It is reported by TASS with reference to the case file.
A new case against Ivanov was opened at the end of May of this year. Previously, he was charged with receiving a bribe from Fomin in the amount of 1.2 billion rubles. The materials of this case should go to court for consideration on the merits by the fall, writes the State Agency.
Timur Ivanov has served as deputy defense minister since 2016. In this position, he oversee the construction of the department’s facilities, and also was responsible for housing and medical support issues. He ruled all the major construction sites of the Ministry of Defense, for example, the Vostochny cosmodrome.
The military was detained in April last year. Later he was arrested on charges of receiving a bribe in an especially large scale for help from the contractors of the Ministry of Defense, the amount of damage was estimated at 1.185 billion rubles
In October, Ivanov was charged. According to one of the episodes of the former deputy Sergei Shoigu, they are accused of embezzlement of funds of Inter -Kommerz Bank in the amount of more than three billion rubles. The second episode is a waste of more than 200 million rubles when buying two ferries for the Kerch crossing.
