Archbishop Pitirim died - the author of the hymns to Putin and the preacher of “Svo”, who was in disgrace by Patriarch Kirill. How will he remember?

At the 65th year of life in Syktyvkar, the local archbishop Pitim (Volochkov) suddenly died. The personality is very extraordinary, creative: the author of several thousand texts, which he calls verses, songs and hymns as Putin, so the war in Ukraine. At the same time - he was in disgrace of Patriarch Kirill.

The Orthodox Blogosphere did not immediately believe in the reports of the sudden death of the Archbishop of Syktyvkar and Komi-Ziryansk Pitirim (Volochkova), which appeared on the morning of June 24.

Even the secretary of the Svytvkar diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church and the faithful associate of Pitirim Archimandrite Philip (Filippov) did not confirm these messages for a long time, limiting himself to the fact that "the Vladyka was really taken to the" ambulance ", but that it is not yet known with him." Closer to noon, the news of the death was officially confirmed , indicating acute heart failure as a reason. But people who knew Pitirim closely say that he never really complained about health, was cheerful, active and looked much younger than his years.

About a day before his death, in the evening of June 22, he performed in Syktyvkar at a concert on the occasion of the next anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.

Being a creative personality, artistic, pithirit, as usual, set out a certain “artistic version” of the first day of that war, endless far from historical truth.

According to him, on June 22, 1941, “about one hundred thousand Kyivans were killed” (then about 900 thousand people lived in Kyiv).

On the same day in the morning, the liturgy served in the Syktyvkar Cathedral in the emotional manner and spoke a sermon, where he also shared his fictional stories about Russian saints, summing up this : “We gathered that day to say the sadness and have fun. We lead the children of God, and the child can have fun when the coffin is in the room? Maybe!"

Pitimir (Volochkov) was the bearer of the brand, which, however, did not recognize himself. In the Orthodox environment, he was called “fragrant” - according to the main hit of the lord, the song “Orthodoxy - fragrance”. The nickname, however, speaks more about him than the lyrics. But first - about the biography of the archbishop.

Career

Pavel Pavlovich Volochkov was born on February 2, 1961 on the Nizhny farm in the Krasnodar Territory and immediately after school turned out to be a hypodiacon and a cell of the then quite young archbishop of the Krasnodar Hermogenes (Orekhova), belonging to the circle of “Nikodimovites” - successful quarry functionaries of the Russian Orthodox Church with a admission of the Capstand (Hermogenes served in Syria, served in Syria, served in Syria, served in Syria, served in Syria, served in Syria, Israel and Switzerland).

After serving in the army, young Pasha Volochkov was ordained at the Seminary without a deacon to another “Nicodima” - the Archbishop of Arkhangelsk Isidore (Kirichenko) - and was aimed at serving in the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. The young man did not think about marriage, at the age of 23 he accepted a monasticism with the name Pitim, and became a hieromonk 26. Having graduated in absentia, by graduating from the Moscow Theological Seminary, in the early 1990s became the rector of the newly created Stefo-Trinity Monastery in Komi, and on October 8, 1995 he was elected the ROC Sytvkarsky and Vorkutinsky synod.

Around his ministry, rumors of a piquant properties have always circulated, Pitirim’s personal conversations periodically merged into the network (their authenticity, however, was not confirmed by examinations), and his image and style were distinguished by a special manner of mannerism. Although it did not reach open accusations and disciplinary statements, it was noticeable that this image annoyed Patriarch Kirill: during the administrative reform of the Russian Orthodox Church of the 2010s, Komi remained the only major subject of the federation in the European part of Russia, where the Metropolitan was not created, and Pitirim remained the only diocesan bishop “from the Metropolitan of Metropolitan.

After 21 years of ministry, only more modest in the system of the Russian Orthodox Church San - Archbishop was granted. In 2016, Volochkova was admitted to the Moscow organization of the Writers of Russia, which, as we will see below, was a very controversial decision.

In the early days, “Svo” Pitimim developed the idea of ​​Messianism Putin, introducing him as a prophet and leader, but what is there as God himself (the spelling of the original is preserved):

It is difficult to judge the sincerity of Pitirim. “Poems”, which, by and large, sound like self-parody-rather, an expression of a kind of understood sense of duty or, in the church, “obedience”. He is seeing about all the powerful of this world on about one note.

When Sergey Gaplikov was appointed head of Komi, Pitimim sang him like this:

Pitimim appreciated his poetic gift quite high - to know, he was not lucky enough to meet a competent literary critic:

“The Lord gave me a spiritual pitch, / and the sound of her beloved children collects in the temple of God ... / My pier in poems sings, / and people are incredibly happy with the sound. / She calls to save the dying, / and life is served for earthly reflection. ”

Even his Audi car, stolen at some point by one of the objects of epobophilic feelings, Pitimim made the hero of the dramatic saga.

Pitimim posted his works mainly on VKontakte, but one of his poetic collections can be found on the popular website “Poems.ru ”. The exact number of bishop’s poems written, in general, in one manner and at the same level, is not amenable to calculation: experts believe that there are more than three thousand of them.

Returning to the topic of “Orthodoxy-sneaking”: it is difficult not to notice what special role olfactory receptors played in the life of the deceased. All visitors to his office and chambers, trimmed in pink-blue tones with an abundance of glasses and frills, noted the extraordinary aromas emanating from both the lord himself and from each corner of the chambers.

Beliefs

In general, Pitimim broadcast ultra -conservative narratives, although they are not always just to hear fantasies and self -reflexion through the wilds. In 2006, the archbishop achieved “corrections” in the opera Dmitry Shostakovich “Balda”, staged in the Republican Opera and Balte Theater in Syktyvkar, which removed the most anti -lrical moments from the libretto. Pitimim tried to indirectly criticize the former chairman of the department of external church ties of Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeev) for the "Masonic ecumenism", but left these attempts after a formidable shout from the patriarchy. Criticized the Russian court for recognizing the extremist slogan "Orthodoxy or death!" And he tried to ignore the orders of the authorities at the beginning of the pandemic of Covid. But every time he quickly retreated, he did not go to exacerbation.

Appointing Pitirim to the newly created Syktyvkar department, Patriarch Alexy II ordered him the first thing to build a cathedral in the Komi capital, where only a small parish church was since Soviet times. The Holy Stepanic Council was built for almost six years, and Pitimim constantly complained about a catastrophic lack of funds, had to save.

Alexy II consecrated the cathedral in 2001, but the quality of the building turned out to be low, and it constantly needs to be repaired-especially after harsh sub-suhing winters. The specific artistic taste of Pitirim is evidenced by the construction of a huge number of monuments in the suction territory, sometimes rather strange: the enlightener of the Komi-Vyryan St. Stefan Greatpersky, St. Peter and Fevronia of Murom, St. Cyril and Methodius, Easter egg, Bible. According to the clergy of the diocese, the author of the monuments were local convicts, which the Federal Penitentiary Service mobilized this.

The final chord of the life path of Archbishop Pitirim was the desperate support of “Svo”, which only increased as the RF Armed Forces were tied in the steppes of Ukraine.

He shared his position in detail in an interview with the propaganda REGNUM. Pitimim learned about the beginning of hostilities not from the Internet or even from the TV, but in a special highly spiritual way - from the Monk Job Pochaevsky, the Ukrainian Holy of the 17th century, which appeared to him in a dream. As a direct occasion for “Swell”, the archbishop pointed to the work of some “32 biolabers” in Ukraine, but he saw true roots in Ukrainian nationalism, which he faced in the Soviet Army, where immigrants from Western Ukraine served - “all non -normal”.

Having repayed the glory of God for the decision of President Putin, Pitimim put forward a rather strange ultimatum Cyril: “If the Patriarch did not want to crown Putin, the Patriarch and I have the same bishop’s grace, I would laid the crown on Putin’s head.” Justifying bloodshed in the territory of a neighboring state, the archbishop said:

“Ukraine has left the righteous path ... The Russian operation is to cleanse both Ukraine and Russia. Anyone who hits the first is not always wrong ... Now it is such a case that the first hit is the right ... There are no theological problems here. ”

On January 23, 2023, Ukraine imposed sanctions on Pitirim, introducing it to the list of persons “who, hiding behind spirituality, support terror and genocide policy.”

After death, it is necessary to say something good about the deceased, despite his earthly affairs. For some, Pitirim justifies a certain childhood, the naivety of his judgments and statements.

Perhaps he remained a big child, demonstrating the availability and simplicity of communication rare for the current nomenclature hierarchy. But he lived at such a time and served in such a quality that these good, in general, the features were put to the service of the system that belonged and with which Archbishop Pitim could not break.
