The judge of the Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow Olga Bagrova in absentia sentenced the co-founder of Dissernet Andrei Zazakina to 5 years in the colony in the case of financing extremism (part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code) due to the donates of the Corruption Fund. This was reported by the correspondent of "Mediazone" from the courtroom.
The court also decided to confiscate the remnants of funds in all bank accounts of Zayakin.
The prosecutor's office asked to say Andrei Zazakin to the 5 years of the colony in absentia. Lawyer Mikhail Biryukov asked him to justify.
“I do not admit myself guilty. I want to express my gratitude to my family for love and understanding, to my defender [Biryukov] - for professionalism, my friends and colleagues - for their support, ”Andrei Zazakin said for the court through his lawyer.
During interrogations in 2022, he refused to answer all questions of the investigator. In the case, people were also interrogated in detail to whom Zayakin transferred money. In particular, his wife Maria Shaburov was in detail about each transfer from her husband, including, for example, a thousand rubles to buy a cake for her birthday.
The case against Zayakin was opened back in 2022, then he was detained, but released certain actions. He left Russia, and then was put on the wanted list.
Mediazona previously spoke in detail about the initiation of many criminal cases due to the collection of donations of the FBK. Now the accused and convicted in such cases are already dozens. The leadership of the FBK promised a safe collection of money after the announcement of the organization of extremist. But from the materials of cases, it became known that when transferring from Russian maps, banks save and transmit the investigation enough information to detect payments in favor of the FBK.
