The wife of dissident Alexander Skobova spoke about the tightening of the conditions of his maintenance in the Syktyvkar pre -trial detention center

The wife of the St. Petersburg dissident Alexander Skobov Olga Shcheglova announced the tightening of the conditions for its maintenance in the SIZO-1 Syktyvkar in the Komi Republic. This is stated in the telegram channel "Skobs in prison."

According to Shcheglova, on a date on June 17, Skobov said that at the gear point they began to “grind products and cigarettes”, and toothpastes to squeeze out “from a tube to a plastic bag”.

In addition, the duration of the dates began to "arbitrarily regulated, sometimes to contract to 15 minutes instead of an hour."

Shcheglova said that the employees of the isolator hooked Skobov into the cells to convicts in cases of violence and concluded with “mental problems”.

“After an active skirmish with an employee of the pre -trial detention center, arising from the background of the fact that A.V. [Alexander Valerievich] met the morning check with his usual greeting, well -known in court, Skobov was divided, searched, and supposedly found a blade in his clothes. The dissident’s wife also said that during the Court of Appeal he was held in the video in the room for more than eight hours “without water, food and access to the toilet”.

Alexander Skobov is a historian from St. Petersburg and the left activist who spent eight years in psychiatric hospitals in the USSR, where he was sent for anti -Soviet activities. In the 1990s, Skobov protested against the war in Chechnya, then participated in the “solidarity” movement, and also consisted of the Yabloko party for some time. In recent decades, Skobov continued to sharply criticize the Russian authorities, and after the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Ukraine, he decided not to leave St. Petersburg.

In March 2025, the 1st Western District Military Court appointed Skubov 16 years of imprisonment and 300 thousand rubles of a fine on charges of justifying terrorism (part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) and participation in the activities of the terrorist community (part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code) for the post on the explosion on the Crimean bridge and participation in the “Free Russia Forum”. According to the verdict, the first three years of the conclusion of the brackets must serve in prison, the rest of the term in a maximum security colony.

In June, the Appeal Military Court approved the sentence to Skubov.
