The Ministry of Internal Affairs added to the base of the federal wanted list of lawyer Nikolai Polozov, who lives in Ukraine. Attention to this was drawn by the Mediazon.
This means that a criminal case was opened against Polov, but the occasion is unknown. The search card indicates the number of the duty unit of the Internal Affairs Directorate in the South-Western District of Moscow.
In December 2024, the Ministry of Justice of Russia introduced Nikolai Polozov into the register of “foreign agents”. A month later, in January 2025, the Moscow court fined a lawyer under an article on “discrediting” the Russian army due to several comments about the war to journalists on YouTube (part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The protocol contains his speeches for 2022, starting in April 2022 - on the murder of Buchi residents.
The penalty that entered into force gives the security forces the opportunity to initiate a criminal case against the lawyer about the “discredit” of the army.
In June 2025, Polozov was also a fine due to the absence of a “foreign agent” dies in posts in Telegram (part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). For a criminal case you need at least two such fines.
