A case of vandalism and the rehabilitation of Nazism due to the inscription “I love you” at the stand in honor of Victory Day in St. Petersburg was initiated against a resident of the Volgograd region.

Petersburg police detained a 23-year-old resident of the Volgograd region, who applied the inscription “I love you” to banners dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. This was reported by the St. Petersburg department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The inscriptions on the posters of the exhibition "Emotions of Victory" at the small stable to the police were reported on July 1. The security forces established the identity of the young man on the records from the surveillance cameras. The report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs says that the Volgograd was applied to admit the love of a 21-year-old girl, and she was also taken to the department.

Police also posted a video with explanations of both young people. On the record, the Volgograd says that he was drunk and repents, and his girlfriend tells that the young man decide to write “I love you” on the banners “in a fit of feelings” when the couple walked around St. Petersburg in the morning.
