The Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit to recognize the extremist “International Movement of Satanism”. This was reported to TASS in the Ministry of Justice.
The meeting in the Supreme Court is scheduled for July 22 at 10:30. The lawsuit will be considered by the judge Oleg Nefedov - he also made decisions on the ban on the International Movement of LGBT and the Legion of Freedom of Russia, and also rejected the claims of Alexei Navalny against the Ministry of Justice.
The departments did not give an explanation of what, in their opinion, is the “international movement of Satanism” and who enters there.
"International Movement of Satanism" as an organization does not exist. Earlier in Russia, in addition to the "International LGBT movement", the non -existent Auie movement, Columbine and the Anti -Russian separatist movement were also prohibited.
The status of an “extremist movement” allows the security forces to seek with a subservient blocking of pages on the Internet and selective persecution of people who, in their opinion, share the ideas of these “organizations”. For example, post -alcoholic symbols on the Internetare fined under the article on the publication of “forbidden symbols”.
In January, Patriarch Kirill already demanded "banning Satanism in Russia as an extremist movement." In the same speech, he spoke of the “spread of neo-humanism and occultism” in Russia and supported the development of the bill “On the Ban of Advertising of Occult-Magic Services”.
“It is unacceptable,” he said, “that still various satanic sects that are part of the international movement of the Satanists freely spend their rites in our country, recruit young people, openly register their groups and communities on social networks. Let's think: in the zone of its own, on the line of fire, our fighters are ready to give their lives for the values that are clearly trampled by the Satanists! ”
