“Recently, we have introduced into practice: for a persistent anti -corruption position, we have returned money to the police that were offered to bribe giveers during the period of unlawful actions,” said Rechitsky.
At the same time, according to him, in relation to those who offered a bribe, the case will start anyway. Over the past two months, more than 25 cases have been excited under the article on giving a bribe (Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). In total, in January-June, 767 corruption crimes were identified in the region, 260 facts of bribery were suppressed, 135 of which were revealed by the police.
