Criminal cases of “foreign agency” and anti -war publications were opened against journalists “rain”

The Investigative Committee of Moscow opened criminal cases against employees of the Rain TV channel by journalists of Ekaterina Kotrikadze, Valeria Ratnikova and Tikhon Dzyadko. This was reported by the official telegram channel of the metropolitan SK.

All three are charged with articles on the distribution of “fakes” about the Russian army (paragraph “d” of part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) and evading the duties of a “foreign agent” (part 2 of article 330.1 of the Criminal Code).

“According to the investigation, the defendants in one of the messengers placed publications for an unlimited circle of people who, according to the study, contained knowingly false information about the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation against the civilian population of Ukraine,” the department writes.

At different times, the Ministry of Justice announced Kotrikadze , Ratnikov andDzyadko “foreign agents”. All three were repeatedly fined due to the refusal to comply with “foreign legislation”. They are not in Russia.

SK also writes that the issue of announcing Kutrikadze and Ratnikova on the wanted list is being considered. Tikhon Dzyadko, chief edges of the rain, was put on the wanted list in April 2025, but in connection with which it was not known then. Now the department has clarified that the search was associated with a “foreign” criminal case.
