On June 30, the Ordzhonikidze District Court of Yekaterinburg received a criminal case against a local resident of Nadezhda Esin on the financing of the Ukrainian Church “Renaissance”. It is reported by Kommersant.
Esin is accused under the article on financing an “unwanted organization” (part 2 of article 284.1 of the Criminal Code). Such the Ukrainian spiritual center "Renaissance" and its fundwas recognized in 2022.
According to investigators, Esin in 2022 and 2023 participated in religious meetings of the Renaissance and made money transfers to the organization’s accounts. She is charged with donations worth 61 thousand rubles.
Kommersant notes that the woman did not plead guilty, saying that the translations were intended to help those in need and church. She is under the subscription about the lower room.
- The Spiritual Center "Renaissance" is a religious organization founded in 1997 in Ukraine by a television producer Vladimir Muntyan. Its branches are also located in some CIS countries. In 2013, the All -Ukrainian Union of Churches issued a statement in which he called for the Muntean to beware, and called the activity of his center close "to the category of occult practice." The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation believes that the activity of the “Renaissance” poses a threat to the constitutional system and security of Russia.
