Over the year, the winery’s revenue quadrupled – in 2023, Mezyb earned only 28.9 million rubles. Moreover, at that time this was also a record figure.

Against the background of multiply increased income, the farm showed a profit for the first time - 9.4 million rubles. Prior to this, since its establishment in 2015, Mezyb had annually reported losses ranging from 0.5 million to 31.5 million rubles.

“Mezyb” was registered in the village of Divnomorskoye near Gelendzhik, approximately 9 km from “ Putin’s palace ”. The wine-growing lands of the Russian Orthodox Church are located close to the summer residence of the patriarch, which is officially called the “Patriarchal and synodal spiritual-administrative and cultural center of the Russian Orthodox Church.”

In total, there are about 170 plots with a total area of ​​approximately 83 hectares under the control of the Russian Orthodox Church, RBC wrote . The Church received part of the territory as a free lease, and another part as property from private companies and individuals. One of the former owners of the plots said that he was asked to sell the land for its subsequent transfer to the Russian Orthodox Church “on a voluntary-compulsory basis.”

Mezyb received a license for the production and supply of wine in 2019. The winery is equipped with French and Italian equipment, it even has its own laboratory, wrote the Simple wine news portal. Now the farm has four lines of wines, it produces up to 200 thousand bottles per year, while the design capacity of the winery is 500 thousand bottles per year.
